JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The family educator team addresses parents with children aged 0-18 who have difficulties managing their daily lives and parenting. This may involve parents with extensive social problems, mental health issues, or cognitive and neuropsychiatric difficulties that affect parenting abilities. The intervention is needs-based, and the goal is to strengthen parents' abilities so that families are given better conditions to manage their life situation and cope with their daily lives.

As a family educator at the Social Administration, you will conduct conversations and provide practical guidance in the family's home, mobilize and involve networks to strengthen the protection around the children, and collaborate with other actors involved with the children and their families.

This position includes some evening work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a family educator who has experience working with children and families in their home environment. You want to develop in your work and collaborate with others to improve the operations. To succeed and thrive in the role, you need to be collaborative, unpretentious, creative, and innovative. While working towards goals and results, it is important that you have the ability to reflect and pause, and to see people's situations from their perspective. You should have a low-arousal approach, be flexible, and confident in yourself. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We expect you to have the following qualifications:

• Social pedagogical or Social Work education, or equivalent education complemented with relevant work experience for the position.
• Experience in treatment work and/or environmental therapeutic work with the target group.
• Good Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• Basic Step 1, personal therapy, further education in, for example, parenting support programs, systems theory, PYC, neuropsychiatric disabilities, school issues, and mental health.
